About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scrye iOS app ("Scrye", "the app"). By downloading or using Scrye, you agree to these Terms.

License Grant

Scrye grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's standard End User License Agreement. You may not modify, distribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app.

Permitted Use

The app is provided for personal screen time management. You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, tamper with, or otherwise misuse the service. You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

Apple Frameworks

Scrye depends on Apple's Screen Time API and Family Controls framework. Functionality is subject to changes Apple may make to these frameworks at any time. Scrye operates independently from Apple, Inc., and Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app.

Subscriptions

Scrye is offered as a subscription service. A Scrye subscription unlocks access to all of Scrye's screen time management features, including daily limits, app shielding, focus sessions, scheduled blocks, streak tracking, and progress reports. Without an active subscription, the app's core features are not available.

Scrye offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Subscription duration, pricing, and any free trial terms are displayed within the app at the point of purchase and on Scrye's App Store listing.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Renewal charges are processed by Apple through your Apple ID at the price disclosed at the time of purchase (subject to any future price changes Apple notifies you of in advance).

How to cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time by going to Settings → [Your Apple ID] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

Free trials

If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled directly through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or via Settings → [Your Apple ID] → Subscriptions → (your subscription) → Request Refund. Scrye is not able to issue refunds directly.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and other intellectual property in the app are owned by the developer. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use the developer's trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials without prior written consent.

Warranty Disclaimer

Scrye is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The developer does not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or meet your specific requirements. Screen Time tracking depends on Apple's DeviceActivity framework and may be subject to delays, gaps, or inaccuracies outside the developer's control.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of productivity, or any inability to access apps that have been shielded.

Updates to These Terms

These Terms may be revised from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and noted in App Store release notes. Continued use of the app following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
